Organisation Settings

Organisation settings let owners manage their organisation's name, billing, integrations, and - when the time comes - permanently delete the organisation and all its data. General details live under Settings > General, billing under Settings > Billing, and integrations under Settings > Integrations. The deletion option itself lives in the Danger Zone on the General page and is only available to organisation owners.

General Settings

The General settings page is where organisation owners can update the organisation's display name. Changes here are reflected everywhere the name appears - the sidebar, team switcher, and billing invoices. This page is only accessible to organisation owners; non-owners are redirected to their team settings or dashboard and cannot view organisation-level settings.

Deleting an Organisation

At the bottom of the General settings page, organisation owners will find a Danger Zone card. This is where you can permanently delete the organisation and all of its data. This option is not available for personal accounts - only organisations can be deleted through this flow.

Who Can Delete

Only organisation owners can delete an organisation. If you are a member or admin of a team within the organisation, you will not see the Danger Zone card. This restriction is enforced at both the UI and server level - even if the request were crafted manually, non-owners would be rejected.

What Gets Deleted

Deleting an organisation removes all associated data permanently. This includes:

  • All teams, flights, and crates
  • All crew assignments and ground mechanics
  • All integrations (GitHub, JIRA, and any other connected platforms)
  • All North Stars
  • All invitations and memberships
  • All flight types
  • Stripe subscription and billing data (active subscriptions are cancelled)

User accounts are not deleted. Everyone who was a member of the organisation keeps their personal account and can continue using Agile Flights with other organisations.

Audit logs associated with the organisation's teams are deleted along with the rest of the organisation data and are not retained after deletion.

Confirmation Flow

To prevent accidental deletion, a confirmation dialog requires you to type the organisation's name to confirm. The delete button stays disabled until what you enter matches the organisation name, ignoring letter case and extra spaces. Typos or other differences in the name will still prevent the deletion from proceeding.

The dialog also lists everything that will be deleted so you can review the impact before confirming. If you change your mind, click Cancel to close the dialog without any changes.

After Deletion

Once the deletion is confirmed and processed, you are redirected to /dashboard. The organisation no longer appears in your organisation switcher and all associated data is permanently gone. There is no grace period and no way to recover a deleted organisation.

If you need to start fresh, you can always create a new organisation from the dashboard.

Important Warnings

  • This action cannot be undone. Once an organisation is deleted, there is no way to restore it or any of its data.
  • Make sure all team members are aware before deleting. They will lose access to all flights, crates, and team data immediately.
  • If the organisation has an active Stripe subscription, it will be cancelled automatically. No further charges will be made, but existing charges are not refunded through this flow.
  • Export any data you need before deleting. There is no export-after-deletion option.
